My Dear Friends, Clients and Subscribers,
I am finishing up the editing of this article on New Year’s Eve. I hope you find it helpful as we move into a New Year and a new decade, and perhaps even more than that.
This will be another of my rather lengthy articles. You might want to print it out on some recycled paper.
I am also happy to be making a couple of new announcements.
One is that I will soon be making my articles and forecasts available as audio podcasts.
The initial step, beginning with this article and January’s Forecast, is to post them as audio files on my website.
The other announcement is in relation to a number of requests I’ve been receiving recently. Those were requests for me to begin to teach individual students over the Internet.
As I pull back from my traveling away from my home here in the mountains, I feel that teaching students online seems like a good way to continue to share what I have to give to the world.
Hilarion*, the Ascended Master whom I am always quoting, has stated that there is a universal law that you cannot receive more knowledge until you share what you have already been given.
These online classes will be offered such that you can schedule them at your own pace, and the fee will be $50/hour.
The Tarot classes will include an introduction into the basic principles of the Kabbalah, as that is the key to the deeper wisdom of the Tarot. These classes are available to students at any level of prior experience.
The Astrology classes will require at least a basic knowledge of the signs, symbols and structure of an Astrological chart beforehand. So we could say they must be intermediate students.
An Astrological View of 2020
This article is a comprehensive presentation of many threads of thought I have already been sharing with you in previous articles, along with my sense of the major Astrological alignments taking place next year. And it looks to be quite a year.
I find it noteworthy how few jokes have been going around about ’20-20 Vision’. That, in itself, is a sign of our times. There is not much faith that we are really going to have better vision as we approach 2020.
There is an Astrological factor which has been at play here since the beginning of this 21st century. In the latter half of the 20th century Pluto, the planet of complete transformation, was in harmony with Neptune, the planet of complete trust, faith and surrender.
With that configuration somehow, some way, most people had an ultimate faith in some ultimate transformation and salvation for the planet. That eventually Capitalism, Free Markets and Technology would save the world. Or the Communist Workers State would save the World. Or Marijuana and Reggae Music would save the world.
In the beginning of the 21st century Pluto and Neptune separated from each other, so they are no longer in a harmonious relationship with each other.
As a result, few if any have that ultimate faith anymore. No one really believes that Capitalism, Free Markets and Technology alone are going to save the World. Or that the Communist Worker’s State is going to save the World.
I do have some friends who are still holding out for Reggae Music and Marijuana, but even there, there is not the same faith or hope that we in the so-called ‘counter-culture’ had at one time.
I would also note that this lack of faith in the current structures and dominant belief systems to save us from impending dangers and challenges is evident in the young people born since 2000. A notable example is the climate change activist, Greta Thunberg.
I am happy to announce that, in the years ahead, Neptune and Pluto will, again, come into a harmonious relationship with each other. In fact, it is going to be even better this time as there will be a complete harmony between all three outer planets, Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus in the exact same degree on June 12, 2027.
That Astrological view, in combination with Hilarion’s teachings on this time period on Planet Earth, have given rise to my viewing our situation in a more optimistic, although certainly deeply concerned, way.
First of all, Hilarion says that the period we are going through now, albeit at the very beginning, is something he calls ‘The Tribulation.’ This was something that was set in motion 12, 000 years ago during the destruction of the continent of Atlantis. At that time it was seen that humanity was not going to reach the basic spiritual evolutionary goal necessary, within the amount of time that we had.
Our time is limited because the Earth, who is herself, a conscious being, is ready now to enter into her next phase of evolution. If she were to do that now, however, many people on the planet would find those higher frequencies of energies extremely uncomfortable, or they would use them in very negative or destructive ways. And so there has to be this period of ‘separating the sheep from the goats’ as it were. Although that phrase always seems to bear some unfortunate prejudice towards either sheep or goats.
Hilarion has stated that there are three main groups of humanity right now. There are those of the Light, who know the way that life could be, if we were willing to live in peace with all life and to have faith in something beyond our own ego, who he says need have no fear. He says that they will be guided to be wherever they need to be, when and with whom and all they need to do is to be willing to serve; in whatever way they are capable.
There is another group, which is almost hopelessly lost in darkness. Almost nothing can be done to save them.
The largest group, however, is the middle group, that can go either way, and it is this group which the Spiritual Hierarchy are most concerned with.
The analogy that I have been using for this period is that human society is going into a New Birth and no one, not the armies of the world, or the Secret Government, or the Illuminati, or the Reptilian Aliens are going to stop it. It is going to happen.
However, on the way to that new birth we, undoubtedly, will have to experience some labor pain. Now, whether that will be an easy two-hour labor pain, or 24-hour labor pain, or a birth with the cord around the neck turning purple is up to us.
Many of you have heard or read my sharing of these thoughts before, or have yourselves read Hilarion’s presentation of them in his book: ‘The Nature of Reality.’
I am repeating them here now because, as I look at the more immediate picture of what is coming our way next year, I feel it is necessary to view these events in relation to the Bigger Picture as it were.
Astrologically-minded folks, and those alive during the years that the musical and movie ‘Hair’ was performed have, for many years, been talking about us moving from a 2,150 year period of the Piscean Age into a new 2,150 year period of an Age of Aquarius. And indeed, these new Aquarian energies are already recognizable in this period of rapid transformation of human society and life upon this planet. And, these new Aquarian energies are definitely coming into greater play next year and in the years ahead.
I want us all to bear in mind that, according to Hilarion, this New Era we are moving into is something of a much greater scope than even a 2,150-year period. It is, indeed, something unlike anything that has taken place on the planet before.
That being said let us now move on to view 2020.
In summary, it looks to me that it will begin with the death of an Old Age, and end with some glimmer of vision of a New Age.
The most potent event of 2020 is the Pluto/Saturn conjunction in Capricorn taking place on January 12th, with the Sun, Jupiter, and Mercury also in Capricorn at the same time. And this will follow a Cancer/Capricorn Lunar Eclipse two days earlier on January 10th.
In writing about the Eclipse in my January Forecast I shared Dane Rhudyar’s commentary about the ‘Sabian Symbol’ for the 21st degree of Cancer where the eclipse will take place. He states the following:
At this first stage of ….we find the drive toward individualization by means of concrete forms of cultural activity glorified in social and financial success. In its deepest sense the symbol refers to THE PRICE OF SUCCESS – for the individual, as well for as the collectivity acclaiming him or her. What is success really worth? A question few people ask. (End Quote)
The line ‘What is success really worth?’ is easily relatable to the Astrological messaging being presented to us at this time.
A Pluto/Saturn conjunction occurs only every 33 to 38 years. It is a generation defining event, but one which is always part of a greater Astrological process.
Pluto, which remains in the same Astrological sign for 16 to 25 years, is also an indicator of generational change and transformation.
Saturn is the planet of concrete, material manifestation, but also of karma experienced through limitation and restriction.
It seems that when Saturn conjuncts Pluto the over-arching Plutonian, generational theme being transformed by Pluto comes to a head. It becomes very concretely real and obvious, and the karmic limitations and restrictions imposed can later be seen to have served that transformation.
This is what Hilarion says about someone who is born with a Pluto/Saturn aspect of any kind:
Saturn aspects to Pluto are not well understood by present-day astrologers, as these contacts are essentially in the unconscious sphere and only periodically surface into the conscious ego or into the surrounding life-pattern. The meaning of a Saturn/Pluto contact is that of an extremely far-reaching change being required in the individual in this life. It is a change that affects the unconscious sphere deeply. In some manner an attitude, outlook, way of thinking or approach to some area of the life experience must undergo a radical alteration, one which in almost every case will be forced upon the individual by events or circumstances beyond his control. The signs and houses holding the two planets will give an idea of the change that is required. Pluto will usually point to the general area, while Saturn will describe the means by which the change must come. (End Quote)
There was a Pluto/Saturn conjunction in 1914, the same year that Pluto entered the sign of Cancer. At that time the Cancerian tendency of identification with one’s home, family, community, clan and, by extension, one’s nation, was for many the end-all and be-all of identification and security.
This over-identification with one’s own nation against the existence of other nations is what needed to die and be reborn.
1914 is also the year that saw the start of World War I. When it began everyone thought that it would last six months, and that their side would have all of the glory and the honor.
I recently watched the movie ‘Tolkien,’ portraying the author of the ‘Lord of the Rings’ in his early years. When he was a student at Oxford the outbreak of the War was announced. The majority of young men then instantly rushed into the College Square, throwing their hats into the air with joyous rapture for the glory and honor that awaited them. Ah, the folly in the minds of men.
Clearly, 1914 was just the beginning of the War, and the true karmic reality of the misery and suffering they were entering into didn’t become apparent until some time later. And, with our upcoming Pluto/Saturn conjunction next month it may also become more obvious and evident in the years ahead.
In 1914, however, an astute Astrologer could have seen the ‘writing on the wall’ as it were. Armed with such foresight now, let us look at our own generational ‘writing on the wall.’
So, Hilarion has stated that with Pluto/Saturn aspects: ‘The meaning of a Saturn/Pluto contact is that of an extremely far-reaching change being required in the individual in this life.’
And he says that clues to the nature of this change can be seen by looking at the signs involved and the houses involved in the aspect.
Now, we are all going to experience this Pluto/Saturn conjunction somewhere in our own Astrological Birth Charts. It will be in one of your ‘Houses’ i.e. the stages of performance and activity. And it will, perhaps, be making some harmonious or perhaps tense aspects with your performing ‘characters’ i.e. the planets in your chart. I would, of course, be happy to share with you what I think that might mean for you, if you would like to have a look at it in a Reading with me.
The obvious message for the Global Community with this Pluto/Saturn conjunction, however, is that this conjunction is taking place in the sign of Capricorn, along with those other planets in Capricorn.
Now, when there is a grouping or ‘stellium’ of planets in an earth sign, it feels like an imbalance that could affect the earth’s stability manifesting in such phenomena as earthquakes etc. I forecast that some years ago and the configuration occurred during the earthquake in Northridge, California in 1994.
That being said, there is specific significance to the sign Capricorn. I have been talking and writing about the significance of Pluto in Capricorn since I was able to view its approaching entry into Capricorn in 2008.
You long-term subscribers are, probably, well aware of my previous discussions of this. I do have a lot of new subscribers, however, so for their benefit I will repeat some of what I have stated before.
First of all, I have found that in order to really understand the significance of a planet in a particular sign it is quite useful to know what Hilarion has said about someone who is born with the Sun in that sign, because that is where he really sets the theme of what that sign is about. Every other planet falling in that sign, or the ‘House’ associated with that sign will, somehow, resonate with that core karmic soul lesson.
So, here is what Hilarion says about someone who is born with the Sun in Capricorn:
The Capricorn is one who, in a previous life, accomplished much personal success in the world’s eyes, but who did so in such a way as to permanently benefit others in a material way. Because this does represent a contribution, even though not really at the spiritual level, a tap is permitted into a source of constructive and creative energy which drives the Capricorn to accomplish something worthwhile upon the earth plane. But because the help for others was limited to the material plane, blindness is introduced into the make-up of the Capricornian personality, which makes it more difficult than usual to perceive the reality and value of spiritual concepts and the higher wisdom. Though difficult, it is not impossible, and the Capricornian who succeeds in making of his life a dedication to a higher reality achieves far more and conquers a much greater obstacle than most other souls have to contend with. The goal of a “life of dedication” is symbolized by the Capricornian rulership of the knees, for the knees are the support of the body in the traditional attitude of prayer. (End Quote)
So, Capricorn energy is going to be very ambitious to manifest success on the material level but tends to have difficulty trusting or being vulnerable (vulnerability can be a dirty word for Capricorns) to that which they cannot touch.
Now, Hilarion makes the reference to the rulership of the knees as the support of the body during prayer. I do remember, however, Liz Greene once saying in class how Capricorns generally don’t really open up until life knocks them to their knees.
And here is what Hilarion says about the influence of the planet Pluto:
The planet Pluto in astrology pertains to that which brings changes into the life — changes in attitude, changes in outlook, changes in the approach to certain areas. The changes indicated by Pluto in the chart are unavoidable and can be absolutely counted on to take place. In the case of most individuals, the changes come about “by force”, i.e. they are resisted by the individual and must be rammed home by the implacable and irresistible force of events. When resistance is shown to such changes, the experiences are inevitably harder and more painful than they would have been if the individual had “seen the writing on the waIl” as it were, and had voluntarily stepped in the direction in which the events were trying to move him. (End Quote)
Seeing the approach of Pluto into Capricorn when I was writing the update to my book, which came out in 2004, led me to write the following:
I predict that while Pluto, that great ‘bringer of change,’ is moving through Capricorn the ability to base one’s life upon exclusively materialistic goals will become increasingly difficult. The United States with its natal Pluto in Capricorn could well be a symbolic focus or primary actor on the world stage playing out this transformational process. (End Quote)
The way in which I started stating the above in my lectures following the publication of the book was that Pluto in Capricorn would likely pull the rug out from under any tendency to be over-identified with concrete, material, financial reality for your security and your identity, and it could wreak havoc with the world economy.
Well, we all know what happened in 2008. If I had known what ‘shorting stocks’ meant I could have made some money!
And yes, the U.S. was a major player in this economic turmoil. There was the mention there that the U.S. was born with Pluto in Capricorn. That is the last time that Pluto was in Capricorn, from 1762 until 1778. The American Revolution is the most noticeable manifestation in that time period, and yet it was a period of transformation globally of previous economic systems. It was the end, for example, of the land-based, hierarchical, feudal system of society, and the rise of urban centers and a merchant, middle class, free from the control of so-called ‘nobles.’
Since that time we have seen the evolution of the world economy into that of corporations being more and more the basis of economies in the world. That previous system is clearly no longer serving the true needs of human society and needs to go through some Plutonian transformation.
And, clearly, the U.S. was a major player in the economic turmoil in 2008. Pluto, however, will be in Capricorn until 2025, so we are in a long period of transformation of the way in which we live materially on this planet.
In light of the above, my sense is that the need for this Pluto in Capricorn transformation to take place is likely to get really concretely grounded into reality with Saturn conjuncting Pluto next year.
How will that manifest? It’s hard to say, but one can see further ‘writing on the wall’ as it were.
As with Pluto’s entry into Capricorn in 2008 one might suspect some further ‘pulling of the rug’ out from under any tendency to be identified with financial reality for your security and your identity. At the last Astrology conference I attended the financial Astrologers looking at 2020 were advising people to buy gold, which I do think should be at least part of a ‘diversified portfolio.’
In the chart that I use for England, she has the Sun in Capricorn, along with Mercury, Venus, and Midheaven in Capricorn. And we all know that Britain is due to leave the European Union by the end of January. This, in itself, could launch a cascading series of events in the financial realm.
There is, however, additional Capricorn themes being activated next year, which includes some positive potential. In addition to the Pluto/Saturn conjunction there will be three Jupiter/Pluto conjunctions in Capricorn on April 4th, June 30th, and November 12th.
Here is what Hilarion says about Jupiter in Capricorn:
On the positive side, Jupiter well-aspected in Capricorn promises good success in the role in life, whether in a career, as a parent, or whatever. The worse the afflictions, the harder it will be to remain at the successful peak once attained. The key to dealing with Jupiter afflicted in Capricorn is to be prepared to shift goals as the life passes through its various phases. The early success in worldly terms must give way to progressively higher spiritual goals, or else frustration and loss will be encountered in terms of the role in life. (End Quote)
Saturn in Capricorn also has some positive potential:
In Capricorn, Saturn is in its own sign, and is therefore very strongly placed. In general, all of the positive Saturnian traits will tend to be present, and some of the negative ones depending upon the degree of affliction. The positive traits are those of seriousness, stability, caution, an instinct to seek safe positions, ambition and a strong ability to do well in the world’s terms, i.e. worldly Success. The negative traits are emotional coldness, an over-emphasis on worldly success, hyper-punctuality. (End Quote)
So, it would seem that there is the potential to do great work and achieve success this year. But these positive Jupiter and Saturn material ambitions will both have to submit to the scrutiny of Pluto, which I have often stated as having to look into your deepest motivations to see where are they really coming from? Are they coming from your love? Or from your fear?
As the quote with Jupiter said: ‘The early success in worldly terms must give way to progressively higher spiritual goals, or else frustration and loss will be encountered in terms of the role in life.’ Pluto is bound to make that a profound test and examination.
In the Astrological Birth Chart of the U.S. chart the Saturn/Pluto and Jupiter/Pluto conjunctions will be taking place in our Second House, the house of money and finances as well as love and affection. Pluto entered that house right after the Inauguration of Donald Trump as President.
Our natal Pluto, however, is also in our Second House.
I wrote extensively about the significance of Pluto in our house of money in my book, including the influence it played during the years of ‘The Great Depression,’ when transiting Pluto was actually opposite to our natal Pluto.
I did place a couple quotes from noted Astrologer Alan Oken.
Here is the one for the positive influence of Pluto in the Second House:
When well-aspected, Pluto in this position can act as a “never-ending fountain of gold.” (End Quote)
Like the days of the American ‘Gold Rush.’
The difficult aspects to Pluto here would bring in karmic lessons in relation to wealth, money and resources. Again here is what Alan Oken has stated:
But when it is afflicted, it (Pluto in the Second House), can suddenly withdraw rewards worked for over a long period of time. (End Quote)
The U.S. won’t have its Pluto Return until 2023, but these conjunctions in this house will definitely have some kind of effect. The obvious major event of 2020, which the whole world will be watching, aside from Brexit, is the U.S. Presidential election. We can already see the economic picture presented by the various candidates, including the President himself; offer an incredible range of different but, potentially, far-reaching ramifications.
And, obviously, when the two candidates are clearly decided both sides will be really hard working and ambitious, and there could be, once again, some Plutonian, secretive, manipulative forces encroaching upon our election process.
In the latter months leading up to the election, Mars in Aries will be squaring all of these Capricorn planets. As Hilarion says for Mars in Aries:
When Mars here is afflicted, the over-riding necessity is to learn to control the energies. It is difficult for Mars afflicted to control itself, regardless of sign, but in Aries, where it receives an excess, the problem is that much more acute. (End Quote)
Looking at that I fear that tempers are likely to be flaring, pumped up by that Capricornian hard work and ambition. Hopefully, this will not lead to physical violence.
The Hope at the End of the Tunnel
The other major Astrological event of 2020 occurs on the day of the Winter Solstice, December 21st. This event leads me to believe that, by December 2020, the whole world will know that, come January, 2021, Donald J. Trump will no longer be President of the United States of America. Yes, that is my prediction, although I have not yet asked by Tarot cards about it. When I did that in 2016 they said that Trump was going to win, but I couldn’t let myself believe it.
Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is related to things like tradition and authority. It brings to mind a Capricorn nation like Britain, which has one of the strongest, on-going allegiances to a traditional Monarchy. And obviously, Britain is now struggling to go back to an old, traditional, white, non-immigrant Britain of yesteryear.
The mentioning of immigration brings to mind another view I have of what has and is happening on our planet and why.
As mentioned earlier, we are now entering the Age of Aquarius. This is what Hilarion says about someone born with the Sun in Aquarius:
The Aquarian is one who, in a prior life, dedicated his energies to bringing others together into a united group and encouraging love and brotherhood between them. Because the peacemaker is to be honored above all others in spiritual terms, the Aquarian is allowed a special tap into a source of the highest idealism regarding the brotherhood of man, both at the soul level and at the personality level, filters permitting. But this source of ideal brotherhood represents a level of advancement far beyond the achievements of the race to the present day. Love is not universally felt for all; indeed, the only circumstance in which most individuals get even a glimpse of love in its true majesty is that first overwhelming excitement of the love affair, before the cold realities show themselves. But the Aquarian knows instinctively that the universal nonexclusive love is possible, and this often introduces a problem in relating to others at the level which mankind has reached. (End Quote)
Now there are, admittedly, some lessons for Aquarians but this new age we are moving into is going to bring forth a lot of that beautiful Aquarian humanitarian idealism on a global scale. We are truly moving into a new era of equality and brother/sisterhood.
Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet which is associated with electricity and technology. There is no doubt that Uranus has been at play in recent decades in providing technology to bring about a global interconnected consciousness, especially during the years of Uranus being in Aquarius, which was with the greatest emergence of the Internet.
Even before the Internet, however, when I traveled in the nations of the developing world and visited people in their homes there, I noticed that virtually everywhere, even on the shanty-town shacks made of panels of metal roofing, there was almost always a multitude of satellite TV dishes suspended above their homes.
Previously, people in those developing nations knew of the relatively luxurious existence of the developed world, but now the virtual reality of that world has been beaming into their homes and brains. In my view, this is why there has been so much more economic migration happening now. It brings to mind the post-World War II song here in America with a line that goes: “It will be hard to keep him down on the farm once he has seen Paris.”
I would say even migrants who are fleeing from violence are more likely to flee now, with this distinct awareness of another world other than theirs. Whereas, previously, they may have been more likely to have remained where they were and bear with their fated lot.
I see this situation as karmic for the developed world. The masses in the developed world have remained, generally, oblivious of the incredible disparity between their nations, where over-eating is a scourge, and other nations, where malnutrition is the scourge.
And, with that obliviousness, they have been happy to turn a blind eye to the ways in which those impoverished nations have been exploited by Capitalist, Colonialist, Imperialism forces, or used as unfortunate pawns between superpowers during the Cold War.
With the advent of Satellite TV, and now the Internet, those in the developing world have seen ‘Paris’ and they cannot be kept down on the farm anymore.
The question is, will we continue to respond to this kind of movement of our fellow humans on the planet with the old, traditional paradigms of Capricornian authority, structure, and borders (national and/or racial), or do we see ‘the writing on the wall’ and recognize that the world as we have known it is dying. And, there is a new world now being born. And, if we can open to it and embrace it, everyone will eventually come to see it as a much better world than what we have previously known.
Again, labor pain is involved in this transition, but whether that is going to be a 2-hour labor, or a 24-hour labor is up to us. If Donald Trump is re-elected I fear it will be a 24-hour labor, or worse.
What leads me to think that Donald Trump will not be elected is this last major Astrological event of 2020, taking place on the Day of the Winter Solstice. This will be a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in the very first degree of Aquarius.
Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions take place every 20 years. Over a 200-year period all but one of these conjunctions occur in Astrological signs of a particular element. In the last 200 years the element has been Earth signs. And that has been the ‘flavor’ of the last 200 years. We have been digging coal and oil and gas out of the earth and burning it for our energy. And it has been earthy, sooty, smoky and polluting. And we have also pretty much explored and conquered most of the physical earth in the last 200 years.
During the next 200 years, starting in December, the Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions will take place in Air signs. And therefore our energy sources will no longer be from dredging material out of the earth and burning it, and making everything dirty.
It will now be wind, solar, magnetic, electrical energies. And the new frontiers of discovery will no longer be so focused on just the physical level.
There is one other major human political event taking place in 2020. In November 2020 there will be the next United Nations Climate Change Conference, in Glasgow, Scotland.
When I began to speak and write about the entry of Pluto into Capricorn in 2008 and the possible ramifications of that, I didn’t have more than a vague notion of what a sub-prime mortgage was, let alone a ‘credit default swap.’
The one lens I could use to see ‘writing on the wall’ that humanity needed to transform the way that we live materially on this planet was Global Warming.
Now, relative to how we have previously been dealing with this lesson, I would like to share something I heard the noted Astrologer Liz Greens say: “The planets hit and it is always to learn a lesson. However, we can learn that lesson gracefully, or we can learn it kicking and screaming.”
As they say: ‘Pain is necessary. Suffering is optional.’
The climate crisis is clearly a situation where the old, conventional, traditional, nationally-bordered, economically self-interested paradigms are in no way capable of dealing with it effectively.
We need to move into a new global, humanitarian, egalitarian, collective, i.e. Aquarian consciousness to deal with this crisis effectively.
I personally believe the U.S. will have a new Democratic President in November of 2020. A new President who will announce that the United States will not be withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, something that otherwise would be taking place on the very day after the election as a result of the behest of Donald J. Trump.
I believe this will inspire a profound uplift of the positive idealism necessary for that Glasgow conference, which begins November 8th, four days after the election, to truly serve humanity to a much greater degree than would have otherwise been the case. And, by the time of the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius on December 21st, the whole world will really feel it. We will know that something new is beginning.
This is what Hilarion says about Jupiter in Aquarius:
Jupiter in this sign of brotherhood points to the ability to bring together conflicting groups, to forge closer ties between people, and to promote universal goodwill and love. The expression of this ability is the highest calling of the person with Jupiter in Aquarius. (End Quote)
Saturn conjuncting that Jupiter in Aquarius could make that promotion of ‘universal goodwill and love’ ever more real, and engender Saturnian dedication, focus and responsibility to concretize and manifest that ideal.
Here is what Dane Rhudyar wrote about the Sabian Symbol for the first degree of Aquarius:
While the zodiacal sign Capricorn begins with a symbol of socio-political power, Aquarius at its start presents a more spiritualized and idealistic or creative picture of the social forces at work. Moreover, it stresses the enduring character of human achievements ensouled by a great vision. At least within the frame of reference of our Western civilization, the symbol speaks of the projection of a noble ideal into concrete forms of beauty and significance, thus of the radiation of a “civilizing” power into an institution offering to primitive men the opportunity to reach a higher, more organized and productive, level of activity. (End Quote)
This is akin to what I said about the potential energies of the Glasgow Conference, but this conjunction in this first degree of Aquarius on the day of the Rebirth of the Light leads me to feel that on that day many of us will feel, many of us will know, that this is only the beginning…..
