Again, I want to thank everyone for their outreach to me with financial and emotional/spiritual support in the aftermath of my house burning down. I feel blessed to be connected to you all.
I have had inquiries as to which specific books from my library I might be seeking to replace. And I have had the suggestion that I compile and send out a list of the books I might be looking for. I intend to do that in the coming weeks. I won’t send it out, however, until I land in a place where I believe I’ll be staying for a while. Where that might be, I’m still trying to sort out. In the meantime, I will slowly start working on my list.
I did want to share with you a strange dream that I had last week:
I dreamt that I was in my house like before. I was aware, however, of the fire, but as being a dream that I had had, from which I was really grateful to have woken up from the dream and realize it was only a dream.
Strange eh? Kind of like Kafka’s novel: ‘Metamorphosis.’ What is real and what is the dream?
Starwise Forecast for October 2020
Remember October Birthday people are entitled to a 10% discount on their Readings this month.
1 – We enter October with a peak. It is the day of the Sun in Libra/Moon in Aries Full Moon opposition. The day of the year where the polarizing tension between the conscious need to seek out companionship and partnership, and the unconscious instinctual desire to allow one’s individual expression and identity to have full sway and not be limited in its expression. As with all Full Moons, a healing integration needs to take place.
2 – Venus moves from fiery Leo into earthy Virgo.
4 – Pluto stands still in its retrograde motion and moves direct, bringing conscious transformative engagement upon that which was brewing beneath the surface.
7 – Mercury in Scorpio moves into opposition to Uranus. Mercury/Uranus tensions are always liable to sudden, impulsive expressions and communications. Mercury in Scorpio prefers to remain hidden and a bit secretive. So, some of those hidden Scorpionic thoughts may find a surprise way to come out, potentially causing some new and surprising breakthroughs that one would not expect.
9 – Mars in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn. This is potentially aggressive or violent as Mars in Aries always is, but this time in confronting very deep subterranean forces or powers that are not very amenable to easy, quick, Mars in Aries type fixes. Still, something has to be done and one has to have the courage to start the long campaign. Just pick your battles wisely. As Astrologer Robert Hand once wrote: ‘If you try to win the losing battles, you end up losing the winning ones.’
This is one that I will be curious to see how it plays out in the external social-cultural-political world.
10 – Venus newly arrived in Virgo, who has the positive quality of discernment, will harmonize with, trine, Uranus in Taurus. An interesting combination of qualities; Venus in Virgo discernment being comfortable with Uranian spontaneity, liberation and openness to the unconventional.
11 – The Sun in Libra will square Jupiter in Capricorn. The Sun in Libra idealizes partnerships of all kinds being based on harmonious mutual respect and diplomacy. Jupiter in Capricorn tends to be very ambitious in a material sense. And Jupiterian tensions tend to create exaggeration and fanaticism. This aspect could have diplomacy being overwhelmed by material focus and ambition, or to have an overly idealistic view of what some partnership agreement will produce.
12 – The Jupiterian tension of the day before will be greatly aided and softened today as Jupiter in Capricorn moves into harmony with, sextile, Neptune in Pisces. The exaggeration of the previous day can now slide into Jupiterian optimism, enthusiasm and confidence in the service of Neptunian compassion and spiritual faith.
Later in the day, Mercury in Scorpio will harmonize with, sextile, Venus in Virgo. Mercury in Scorpio passionate thoughts and feelings being comfortable with Venusian emotional feelings, but grounded in Virgoan assessment and discernment.
13 – Mercury will turn retrograde, until November 3rd.
The Sun in Libra will square Mars in Aries. This is quite a challenging aspect. Mars rules Aries and is quite strong there, an aggressive, courageous energy but capable of impulsive, undisciplined, self-willed violence. Today this will be at odds with the Libran impulse towards idealism around partnership and diplomacy.
This Mars engagement can supply some much-needed courage to cause some necessary breakthroughs in relation to Libran goals and ambitions. Or, the Mars approach can be seen to be quite contrary to, and at odds with, Libran diplomacy and partnership idealism.
15 – The Sun in Libra will continue to be challenged, today by a square to Pluto. If you think that Mars tension was difficult, Plutonian tension can be felt as a ‘life or death’ struggle. Those Libran ideals of diplomacy and partnership will be felt at odds with the deepest, unconscious, controlling instincts and desires of oneself, of others, or of elements of society.
I would not want to be a Republican Senator in a so-called ‘Swing State’ in this time.
16 – The Annual Sun/Moon New Moon conjunction in Libra. It seems timely, in light of the previous days, for this alignment of integrated attunement of both the conscious and unconscious orientations towards Libran ideals and goals of partnership, reflective personal interactions and diplomatic engagements.
18 – The Sun in Libra will square Saturn in Capricorn. More challenge for Libran, diplomatic, partner-seeking energies, this time from the very serious, hardworking Saturn in Capricorn. This can be a ‘reality check’ for over-idealistic Libran romanticized fantasies, or a challenge to accept realistic responsibility and duty but not so as to sacrifice or compromise your ideals of harmonious relationships of all kinds.
Later in the day we have more along the theme of challenged fantasies. Venus in Virgo, which tends to have too high standards toward those for whom they feel affection, will move into opposition to Neptune, the planet which, in difficult aspect, creates challenges along the lines of confusion, illusion, delusion, victimhood and martyrdom. On this day the overly critical Venus in Virgo may have the opportunity to create the pain that it causes and have to feel the results, or it may feel its own pain which could either result in justifying its critical tendency or, hopefully, see the need for an integration between Virgoan factual truth and Neptunian/Piscean compassion and empathy.
19 – Venus in Virgo will harmonize with, trine, Jupiter in Capricorn. Here that analytical, emotional energy can be put to good use in service to expansive Jupiterian ideals with practical Capricornian ambition.
Later, Mercury in Scorpio will move into opposition to Uranus in Taurus. This happened earlier in the month on the 7th for which I wrote:
Mercury in Scorpio moves into opposition to Uranus. Mercury/Uranus tensions are always liable to sudden, impulsive expressions and communications. Mercury in Scorpio prefers to remain hidden and a bit secretive. So, some of those hidden Scorpionic thoughts may find a surprise way to come out, potentially causing some new and surprising breakthroughs that on would not expect. (End Quote)
This time, however, Mercury is moving retrograde so this tension will be a bit less reactive and may involve in going over past times of reacting impulsively to this kind of tension.
21 – Venus in Virgo will harmonize with, trine, Pluto in Capricorn. More positive opportunity for the Venusian emotional energies to use its Virgoan flavored analytical and mentally discerning nature to be used in the service of deep Plutonian introspection/transformation of oneself and others.
22 – The Sun moves into the month of Scorpio.
24 – More Venus in Virgo/Capricorn harmony. This time Venus will harmonize with, trine, Saturn in Capricorn, aligning the emotional, detail-oriented analytical emotional nature of Venus in Virgo in a positive way with the hardworking, ambitious and disciplined Saturn in Capricorn.
The Sun in Scorpio will conjunct Mercury in Scorpio. Mercury in Scorpio is still retrograde but that in fact will be supportive of this deep Scorpionic opportunity of introspection into one’s hidden motives and feelings, and feel how you do, or don’t, want to be communicating those to others in a Mercurial kind of way.
27 – Two planets move into Libra. First Mercury will retrograde back into Libra.
Later, Venus will enter Libra just minutes later. Venus in Libra is particularly auspicious as Venus rules Libra. In a chart Hilarion* says this promises an eventual happy marriage.
31 – Well we end the month of October 2020, Halloween, with some kind of ‘bang.’
First, it happens to be the day of the Sun in Scorpio/Moon in Taurus Full Moon opposition. The time of year in which there is the polarizing tension emphasizing the need to integrate the conscious Scorpionic need for deep emotional regeneration and the unconscious Taurean need for material security, but also to find what real love is. This occurs at 7:49 AM Pacific Coast Time.
At 7:55 AM the Moon will conjunct Uranus in Taurus.
At 8:53 AM the Sun in Scorpio will oppose Uranus in Taurus.
Obviously, this is bringing some Uranian surprise, revolutionary liberation, or dangerous impulsiveness into the mix of this Scorpio/Taurus Full Moon polarity. And on Halloween! Oh my!
Stay steady and keep the faith!
Blessings,
Steffan Vanel
