Starwise Forecast for August 2017
Well, we are entering the power-packed month of the Great American Eclipse. This eclipse, which will cross the entire continental United States for the first time since 1918, deserves it’s own newsletter, which I am currently working on and will be sending out soon.
One preview of coming attractions: this eclipse is going to impact our President Donald J. Trump in a major way. Stay-tuned as they say.
We enter August on a Rising Moon, until the Full Moon on the 7th, which will have a partial Lunar Eclipse prelude to the total Solar Eclipse on the 21st.
2 – Uranus stations and turns retrograde, into next year.
4 – Jupiter in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn. This is the third and final exact square between these two planets. It figures prominently in the Inauguration chart for President Trump. In the article I wrote about that I found the following telling quote:
Jupiter Square Pluto
This indicates that your personal philosophy and attitudes will condition your life, and because they tend to be fixed and dogmatic can serve to bring you into conflict with others….. Basically, you are likely to be antagonistic to the modern world, believing that it is taking the wrong direction, and will be inclined towards a desire to reform the outer world and people so that they begin to conform to your world vision. There is a tendency towards mental arrogance, a certainty of your own way being right as opposed to the ways of others; and you are unlikely to be receptive to alternative beliefs and new ideas. You will be an active exponent of your way, expressing it forcefully to others, either by a challenging of their beliefs or by attempts at conversion; you feel that you have a mission to perform, and this conviction gives you the inner strength to continue. If rejection occurs, you tend not to use that experience as a means to re-evaluate your beliefs, but inwardly reassert your own sense of righteousness (Found at astromatrix.com)
Sounds like our current Presidency no?
This energy peaks for all of us today, which for us can be challenges for our relationships (Libra) in dealing in a tense way with the dominant concrete structures of our lives (Capricorn). The Challenge is to maintain faith, hope, and optimism (Jupiter) without being over-bearing and fanatical (also Jupiter). And, don’t try to override the secret motives of yourself or others, or of the ‘systems’ you are engaged with (Pluto).
7 – The Sun in Leo/Moon in Aquarius Full Moon opposition with partial eclipse of the Moon.
As I said earlier, this is somewhat of a ‘prelude’ to the total Solar Eclipse on the 21st. A Full Moon is always a challenge at integrating the conscious Solar energies in one Astrological sign, with the unconscious Lunar energies in the opposite sign.
In this case, the conscious energies are in Leo, the sign of the leader, and the unconscious energies are in Aquarius, the sign of brother/sisterhood and group consciousness.
10 – A pretty positive day.
Mercury in Virgo sextiles, harmonizes with, Venus in Cancer. This can create some harmonious communications around your emotional needs and desires in relation to practical details that can really enhance those emotional needs.
The Sun in Leo sextiles, harmonizes with, Jupiter in Libra. The proud, generous Solar conscious identity in Leo can feel even more positive Jupiterian beneficence, confidence and expansiveness, especially in relation to Libran relationships and partnerships.
11 – Venus in Cancer trines, harmonizes with, Neptune in Pisces. This aspect should make one want to be floating on water somewhere with someone you love, or composing a romantic song.
12 – Mercury stations and turns retrograde, until September 5.
13 – The Sun in Leo trines, harmonizes with, Saturn in Sagittarius. So that Leo, creative Sun energy has had both some Jupiterian confidence and enthusiasm, and now has some Saturnian commitment and dedication to help in really concretely manifesting those Jupiterian aspirations.
15/16 – Venus in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn. The emotional needs and desires of one’s own family, clan, nation may feel threatened by or challenged by what seems like unavoidable, fated power structures that seem to be in antipathy to those needs and desires. It is a challenge to somehow accommodate both and not stress out too much.
On the 16th, however, Venus will square Jupiter in Libra so, basically, those Cancerian/Venusian emotional needs and desires will be really adding to the long standing collective tension in the Jupiter/Pluto square. (See August 4th)
20 – Well the day before the big Eclipse looks pretty positive.
First we will have Mars in Leo sextiling, harmonizing with, Jupiter in Libra. So, that at times proud and arrogant Mars in Leo energy can be elevated by some higher-minded aspiration in Libran relationships with others.
Later the Sun in Leo will trine, harmonize with, Uranus in Aries. More positive connections for the Leo energies, this time with liberating freedom from old patterns (Uranus) with Aries like courage and bravery. As well as the ability to lead, create, express in surprise and unconventional ways.
21 – The New Moon Solar Eclipse. Watch your inbox for the article I am writing about this.
22 – On the day after the Eclipse that Mars in Leo proud and potentially arrogant energy enters into a trine, harmonizing with Saturn, providing some grounded discipline and focus to that energetic Leo energy.
Later in the day the Sun goes into the month of Virgo.
24 – Venus in Cancer squares Uranus in Aries. As we have really been dealing with a long-standing ‘T-Square’ between Jupiter, Pluto and Uranus this year, we have Venus, following her tense engagements with Pluto on the 15th and Jupiter on the 16th now coming into a square with Uranus.
This is really creating, temporarily, a ‘Grand Cross’ with poor emotionally vulnerable Venus in Cancer at odds with all of these slower-moving planets.
Today those Venusian/Cancerian emotional needs and desires my feel the need to impulsively liberate themselves from old patterns, or be challenged by those who feel challengingly motivated by the need to liberate and change things.
25 – Saturn stations and turns direct.
Later Venus goes from Cancer into Leo, until September 19.
26 – The Sun in Virgo conjuncts Mercury in Virgo. A great time to really ‘know what you know’ and dedicate that in service and knowledge of all of the details involved.
This is also ‘Women’s Equality Day.’
27 – Jupiter and Saturn, now both moving direct, will make a harmonious sextile between the signs of Libra and Sagittarius. Perhaps optimistic engagements with relationships and partnerships feeling confident in making long-term commitments.
31 – Mercury goes into Leo, until September 9th.
