Starwise Forecast for August 2016
Dear Friends and Clients,
I am working on Hillary Clinton’s Astrology Chart and should be sending it out some time this next month. I will include some insights into Bernie Sander’s chart as well.
I am also working on an amateur homemade video of my giving a short casual talk to a group of friends about the Astrology Chart of Mr. Trump, and hope to upload that to YouTube soon.
And the Mandarin Chinese translated version of Hilarion’s ‘Astrology Plus’ is going to be available tomorrow.
August Birthday people: Remember you get 10% discounts on Readings this month.
We enter August on the last day of the Waning Moon, with a New Moon on the 2nd.
1 – We start August with the Sun in Leo moving into a harmonious trine with Saturn in Sagittarius. A good time for steady, dedicated leadership.
2 – Mars moves from Scorpio into fiery, idealistic Sagittarius, until September 27th.
The Sun/Moon, New Moon conjunction in Leo. I am going to paste in here what Hilarion says about someone who is born with the Sun in Leo:
Leo – The Leo individual is one who, in a past incarnation, showed the trait of leadership and guidance for those who without such help would have perished. From this action comes another gift: in this case, a tap into a spiritual source of initiative and leadership qualities which is always available to the soul, and can be manifested in the personality, filters permitting. But the task which comes with the gift is to express the guidance and leadership without allowing the self to assume too great an importance. These energies are easily misdirected into aggrandizement and pride of self, and constant effort is called for by the Leo personality to avoid these negative traits. The best way to keep the pride and self-centered tendencies from manifesting is to cultivate kindness and consideration for others. But even the kind ones can become enmeshed in a habitual tendency to view life as a kind of play in which they are the principal actor around whom everything revolves. This tendency is again due to the abundance of the energy which is being tapped at the higher level, which comes down as a clear picture of the individual leading others, i.e. at the head of, or in some way above the mass of those who are being led. The best way to deal with the Leo energy is to find an outlet where others are being served at the same time as they are being led or directed. This is why a teaching role is one of the best ways to manifest the Leo nature.
And here is what he says about someone who is born with the Moon in Leo:
Leo – This sign is ruled by the Sun, and here we have an exception to the general rule that the Moon relates only to characteristics acquired during the early environment. In Leo, the Moon does show a soul characteristic. It is that of forgiveness, one of the noblest and most beautiful of all the traits of mankind. This is so because in forgiving another, man patterns himself upon God’s own way. God never condemns, and no action, thought or emotion stands in guilt before the eyes of the Father. Man is his own accuser and judges himself. His karma is that which he creates for himself and does not come down from some hall of judgement as a retribution for sins. When the Moon in Leo is primarily afflicted, it can be taken that the early home influences were such as to interfere with the natural leaning toward forgiveness that is inborn. Perhaps there was an unyielding or grudge-holding parent; or perhaps the conditions were such that when the individual as a child tried to show forgiveness and tolerance, he was taken advantage of, thought to be weak or mocked in some way. These negative experiences are there as a test to see whether the individual will overcome the obstacles and find again the pure fountain of forgiveness that is his birthright.
When the Moon is afflicted in this sign, there is also another trait that needs to be worked on, and that is the tendency to turn a blind eye toward the flaws of others and to pretend that the flaws are not there. This is a form of self-deception and inevitably leads to a let-down when the feet of clay show up. Far better to retain a clear picture of people as they are with all their shortcomings, and at the same time to understand that all on the earth are flawed, that it is a part of human nature, and that these shortcomings are all the more reason to love one’s brother.
Leadership and forgiveness are clearly the emphasized themes here. Someone born on this Leo New Moon, in any year, would have these themes as a major part of their dharmic path.
This is a time, each year, for all of us to make a conscious/unconscious alignment with these principles.
It makes me think of what is happening now on a conscious and unconscious level, with the American Presidential election.
Additionally, what flaws are we turning blind eyes towards?
5 – Venus goes from fiery Leo into earthy Virgo, until the 30th.
6 – A rather tense day.
Mercury in analytical, at times critical, Virgo Squares Saturn in idealistic Sagittarius, hence a temptation to criticize the beliefs behind Saturnian traditions, rules, places of conventional authority.
Parallel to the above, Venus in Virgo squares Mars in Sagittarius, adding emotion and passionate action to the mix.
7 – 14 – The two aspects of the 6th are actually the beginning of a tense engagement between Mercurial intellect and Venusian emotion with this year’s on-going Saturn/Neptune Square.
Mercury squares Saturn, as I said, on the 6th, but then it opposes Neptune challenging that analytical, potentially critical Mercury in Virgo intellect with Neptune, which is likely to require a surrender of that intellect to a Higher Reality or succumb to the temptation of delusion, denial, or a tense identification with the victim/victimizer program.
On the 13th Venus in Virgo, which can also be critical, especially in relation to emotional relationships, squares the hard rules and structures of Saturn. But on the 14th we enter into the same challenge of with Venus opposing Neptune.
Most of the painful, violent events in the world recently have coincided with tense engagements with the Saturn/Neptune Square, including the exact Square itself around the time of the Orlando shooting.
10 – In the midst of this tense week, Mercury does, on this day, enter into a harmonious trining relationship with Pluto. Positive Mercury/Pluto always entails a deep, penetrating mental capacity. At this time, this can also afford a deep look into the true motives behind any tendency for that Mercury in Virgo mental energy to be too critical.
13 – Just prior to Venus squaring Saturn later this day, Saturn stands still and moves direct, always affording a deeper intensity to the energies of that planet.
16 – A potentially happier day. The Sun in Leo trines Uranus in Aries. The Solar fiery Leonine leader dances harmoniously with the unconventional, liberating revolutionary Uranus in fiery, courageous Aries.
17 – Venus in Virgo trines harmoniously with Pluto in Capricorn. A similar theme to what I said about Mercury and Pluto on the 10th.
18 – The annual Sun in Leo, Moon in Aquarius, Full Moon opposition, this year with an eclipse of the Moon.
We are still dealing with the on-going Sun in Leo, leadership and individual creative expression of this month of Leo.
On this day it is challenged, lighted by, the Lunar unconscious Aquarius energy, which is less about individual leadership and more about us all together as equals. A challenge around having to accept and integrate both emphasizes.
As this peaks with a death/rebirth eclipse of the Moon, it is that unconscious Aquarian collective identity which will need to die, so it can be reborn. This is bound to have an effect on Leo leadership roles.
22 – Mercury conjuncts Jupiter in Virgo. A good day to figure out and express the details of the bigger, wider vision, and plan.
Later in the day the Sun begins it’s month of identification with the Virgo energies.
24/25 – Mars engages the Saturn/Neptune Square. Not as tense as it was with the Mercury/Venus engagements earlier this month, at least in the beginning.
First Mars in Sagittarius conjuncts, joins with, Saturn in Sagittarius. This can bring the positive effects of Saturn to bear upon that Martial passion and Sagittarian idealism. These positive effects can be acceptance of reality, responsibility and discipline.
On the 25th, however, that Martial passion and idealism squares Neptune in Pisces, making him feel vulnerable and helpless. What to do? Fight back out of pain and deluded vision? Or just surrender and forgive?
27/28 – On the 27th Venus in Virgo conjuncts Jupiter in Virgo, and on the 28th, Mercury in Virgo conjuncts Venus in Virgo. This is a strong simultaneous alignment of Mercurial mental and Venusian emotional energies with expansive, philosophical Jupiterian energies, all working through the Virgoan analytical details and critical tendencies to come up with, and align with, the ‘Bigger Plan.’
29 – Venus goes into Libra, a sign she rules, until September 23rd.
30 – Mercury goes retrograde, until September 21st.
