December 2015

Starwise Forecast for December 2015

We enter December with a waning Moon until he New Moon on the 10th.

1 – Mercury in Sagittarius trines Uranus in Aries. A good day for the freedom to say or write what you know to be true, even if you use an unconventional angle in doing so.

4 – Mercury in Sagittarius squares Jupiter in Virgo. Here that truth-seeking communication can be challenged by or over-involved with an obsessive concern with all the details, not being able to see the forest because of the trees.

Later in the day Venus goes from Libra into Scorpio until the 30th.

6 – 10 – Mars in Libra starts a tense engagement with the Pluto/Uranus Square.

This starts on the 6th when Mars will move into square to Pluto in Capricorn. When I wrote my book: The Astrological Karma of the USA in 2004 and started anticipating the effect of Pluto in Capricorn one obvious corollary suggesting that the ‘writing was on the wall,’ that we need to change our material way of living, was Global Warming, a clear indication of a need to totally transform (Pluto) the basic structures (Capricorn) of our global economies and governing functions.

Today that continues to be a theme, along with economic issues, and how to deal with extremist/radical Islam.

Well the Mars engagement with the Pluto/Uranus Square is occurring during the last days of the Climate Change Conference in Paris.

Mars in Libra is conflictual in relationships. So things could get feisty, or passions could run high, at the conference. (Or when they have to face their legislatures when they get home!)

On the 6th the Sun in Sagittarius will also trine Mars, so Mars will be energized and supported by moral righteousness as he confronts the hidden depths of the powerful/perhaps secretly manipulative structures of our world.

8 – The Sun in Sagittarius trines/harmonizes with Uranus in Aries. So the truth seeking, moral righteousness of this conscious Solar identity will be harmoniously aligned with the liberating, unconventional surprise freedoms of Uranian energies. Two days before Mars squares Uranus. Enjoy it while it lasts!

9 – Mercury goes from enthusiastic, at times overly honest, Sagittarius into serious, practical, at times over-serious Capricorn, until January 1, 2016

10 – Mars in Libra squares Uranus in Aries. So that Martial feistiness in relationships will be in tension with the revolutionary, freedom-seeking, unconventional Uranus in Aries.

11 – Venus in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces. A great day to transmute personal pleasures and desires into compassionate surrender and true unconditional love.

Later in the day is the Sun/Moon conjunction, New Moon in Sagittarius. The day to align your conscious and unconscious towards a vision of what is really true and is worthy of your philosophical/religious conviction.

14 – The Sun in Sagittarius squares Jupiter in Virgo. Similar to what I said on the 4th. This time it is the conscious identity that can be overly obsessed with, or feel overly confronted by the details.

Later in the day Mercury in Capricorn sextiles, harmonizes with, Neptune in Pisces. So that serious mental energy can become a bit more fluidly open to imagination, fantasy, or spirituality, and willing to make a concrete communication, expression of that.

17 – Venus in Scorpio sextiles, harmonizes with, Pluto in Capricorn. Those deep hidden Scorpio passions and desires in harmony with their ruling planet, Pluto, can help us to feel our way into how to transform those deep, hidden, seeming unchangeable structures of our society and our individual psyches.

19 – Mercury in Capricorn conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn. Following on the energies of the day before this could enable an even more consciously connected expression of those Plutonian transformations trying to take place.

20 – However, on the next day that serious Mercury in Capricorn energy squares the Uranus in Aries end of the Pluto/Uranus square. So, what felt so powerfully aligned the day before could be whacked from the side by antithetical revolutionary elements, or one may be tempted to do the whacking oneself to maintain the alignment to the deeper transformations.

21 – The Capricorn energies get amped up on the day of the Solstice and the Sun moving into the month of Capricorn.

24 – Venus in Scorpio sextiles, harmonizes with, Jupiter in Virgo. That Jupiterian confidence and enthusiasm for practical details finally forms a harmonious rather than a contentious relationship. The emotional depth of Venus in Scorpio can help Jupiter to be calmed and focused by Venus. And Venus can feel some confidence and enthusiasm for finding the practical, detailed ways she can get what she wants.

25 – Christmas Day. A pretty potent day Astrologically. First it is the day of the Sun/Moon Full Moon opposition of the Sun in Capricorn and the Moon in Cancer. Capricorn is the sign of the Father. Cancer of the Mother. The Sun often represents the father in an Astrological chart. The Moon often represents the mother. So we have here always a powerful Patriarchal/Matriarchal polarity and challenge to find the Divine Marriage, especially between the Solar conscious and the Lunar unconscious. Curious to see how this will play out on this day of the birth of the Christ Spirit, the Child of the Father/Mother, God/Goddess.

Later in the day Mercury in Capricorn trines, harmonizes with, Jupiter in Virgo. So the serious discussions around the holiday dinner table should have lots of enthusiastically presented details.

Later, after the peaking of all of that, Uranus stops, and then starts moving direct. The day of ‘stationing’ of an outer planet is always pretty potent. Here is the awakening of the awakener.

29 – The Sun in Capricorn harmonizes with Neptune in Pisces. Similar to the 14th. Here our serious, ambitious, conscious Capricorn nature can be benefitted by, and employ in a beneficial way those imaginative, compassionate Neptune energies.

Later in the day Mercury in Capricorn squares Mars in Libra. Serious thoughts not felt safe to express may face pressures to suddenly blurt it out. Best to acknowledge the pressure and do your best to let the steam escape slowly.

30 – Venus goes from moody, passionate Scorpio into lighter, travel-loving, youthful Sagittarius. Just in time for the New Year!
