We enter December with a Waning Moon, until the New Moon on the 6th.
1 – Mercury retrogrades back from fiery Sagittarius into watery Scorpio, until the 12th.
2 – Venus goes from airy Libra into watery Scorpio.
And the Sun in fiery enthusiastic Sagittarius squares Mars in watery Pisces. This can lead to self-righteous resentments of emotional responsibilities, or having to deal with overly emotionally polarized people, or those components of yourself.
5 – The Sun in Sagittarius squares Neptune in Pisces. This is a bit resonant with the Sun/Mars tension on the 2nd. But here that fiery, righteous, Sagittarian energy is going to have a much deeper challenge with emotional, spiritual vulnerabilities, within, or without, or both.
6 – A little extra communicative potency to this Sun/Moon, New Moon conjunction in Sagittarius. This New Moon is always about aligning the conscious and unconscious fiery, righteous beliefs and aspirations. On this day Mercury also stations and turns direct, adding to the communicative capacity of the day.
7 – Mars, which is in Pisces, a sign he is not too comfortable with, tending to resent emotional responsibilities and people who can tend to drain you emotionally, will conjunct Neptune in Pieces, so he is going to have to really surrender and go even deeper into emotional vulnerabilities, within and without, and see that the only answer is to come from love.
12 – Mercury goes from moody, emotional Scorpio, back into fiery, expressive, perhaps overly honest, Sagittarius, until January 4th.
16 – A couple of nice sextiling harmonies on this day.
First Venus in Scorpio, which can be emotionally driven by inordinate desire, will sextile Saturn in Capricorn, which should provide some beneficial responsibly, disciplining ‘reality checks’ on those desires.
Later Mars in Pisces will sextile Pluto in Capricorn. With some of the recent challenges confronting this Mars in Pisces, this sextile can provide some well appreciated deep insight into what was learned, and be willing to submit to the necessary transformations being called for.
20 – The Sun at the very end of Sagittarius will trine Uranus at the very end of Aries. This should provide the last opportunity for a liberating, expansive, enthusiastic dance between these two, before Uranus goes on around the other signs of the Zodiac for 84 years.
21 – A bit of an active Winter Solstice.
First Venus in Scorpio will trine Neptune in Pisces. This should provide a nice altruistic emotional aspiration to transcend our normal lower desire natures.
Then Mercury in Sagittarius will conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius. This is a great time to say or write or learn what it is you really believe to be true.
Then the Sun reaches the Solstice point of the darkest day in the North and the lightest day in the South, and enters into the month of Capricorn.
22 – And on this day following the Solstice we have the Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Cancer, Full Moon opposition. The polarizing challenge to embrace the conscious material, practical ambitions and the unconscious emotional nurturing needs.
24 – Mercury in Sagittarius, which can be a bit overly honest and self-righteous in its communications, will square Neptune in Pisces, making it much more emotionally difficult to indulge in that over honest righteousness. If one tries anyway it could lead to a lot of pain and confusion.
28 – Venus in Scorpio submits harmoniously, via a sextile, to deep Plutonian insight and transformation.
31 – On New Year’s Eve Mars moves from Pisces, where he isn’t so comfortable, into Aries, the sign ruled by Mars. As my brother has been known to say: ‘It’s time to parteeee!!”
