Starwise Forecast for May 2016
Dear Friends and Clients,
We enter May with a waning Moon until the New Moon on the 6th.
1 – 7 – On May Day, the first, the Sun begins a week of only positive aspects to other planets. This should allow the Solar part of ourselves, the conscious sense of ‘I’ ness, to feel supported, and opportunities to express and manifest, in relation to these outer forces.
1 – On the first the Sun sextiles Neptune, so that support involves Neptunian faith in that which you cannot touch, as well as the mystical, imaginative, intuitive elements of your own being, and therefore a positive faith and trust in one’s ability to express and create from inspiration of those elements.
3 – On the 3rd the Sun in Taurus trines Jupiter in Virgo, an earthy harmony providing Jupiterian confidence to analyze all of the Virgoan facts and details providing Solar enthusiasm to seek to manifest and fulfill your Taurean earthly desires and ambitions and need to make sure it is serving love and not just selfish attachments inspired by fear.
6 – The Sun/Moon, New Moon conjunction in Taurus. This is an even more focalized, intent producing moment in relation to the Taurean themes mentioned above. This time aligning the Solar/Lunar, conscious/unconscious and instinctual elements to those Taurean themes.
7 – The third of the positive Solar aspects this week. The Sun in Taurus will trine Pluto in Capricorn. Here the conscious Taurean desires and potentials for love engage harmoniously with the planet of the deepest introspection and transforming potential, thus bringing an even deeper investigation into the true motivations behind those Taurean earthly desires, as well as the potential to use those Taurean energies to bear upon a transformational process of your deepest held beliefs around your security in this earth plane (Capricorn), and perhaps those same beliefs in the structures of our society.
9 – A potent day Astrologically. First Jupiter stops and turns direct, so that Jupiterian confidence and enthusiasm will now be more consciously available and directed outwardly.
Then Venus in Taurus, Taurus being ruled by Venus, sextiles, harmonizes with, Neptune in Pisces, with Pisces being ruled by Neptune. If there was ever a time to bring out the true love potential of Taurus, this would be it.
Then the Sun in Taurus conjuncts Mercury in Taurus. So at the end of the day maybe we can write love sonnets about it, and maybe even make some money from it.
10 – 13 – Another very positive period. It seems that the more challenging aspects pile up after the Full Moon on the 21st.
10 – Venus in Taurus trines Jupiter in Virgo, something similar to the 3rd but with an even greater emphasis upon the affectional love aspects of it.
12 – Mercury in Taurus trines Pluto in Capricorn, so the mental, communicative engagement with the introspective, transformative powers of Pluto will flow smoothly. Although with Mercury retrograde right now this would entail going back over things already in motion.
13 – The effect of the positive Mercury/Pluto influence of the day before is harmoniously integrated into the emotional/affectional sphere as Mercury conjuncts Venus on this day. And later Venus trines Pluto bringing that introspective/transformative power into the arena of the Goddess of Love.
20 – The Sun moves into the month of Gemini.
21 – The Sun in Gemini/Moon in Sagittarius Full Moon opposition. This always entails a challenge of integrating the conscious use of intellect and communicative functioning and the unconscious, ‘fired-up’, belief systems.
22 – Mercury finally stops its retrograde motion and moves direct.
24 – Venus goes from earthy Taurus into airy Gemini, until June 17.
As she enters Gemini, later in the day, she opposes Mars in Sagittarius, hence a challenging conflict between, or exaggerated explosiveness of feelings, desires, passion and beliefs.
26 – Jupiter in Virgo squares Saturn in Sagittarius. These are slower-moving planets, so the effect has been building for some time and the effects will last for a couple of months. Here we have Jupiter, the planet of optimism, enthusiasm, expansiveness and philosophical belief systems, functioning through the Virgoan analytical, detail-oriented modalities coming into tension with Saturn, the planet of contraction, limitation, discipline and authority, functioning through the Sagittarian energies of travel, foreign cultures and philosophical belief systems (ironically, ruled by Jupiter).
With Jupiter/Saturn there is always expansion/contraction issues. This time dealing with the themes of Virgo and Sagittarius.
27 – Mars, moving retrograde still, goes back into Scorpio, a sign ruled by Mars, but Hilarion emphasizes an over-emphasis on passion when you are born with Mars in Scorpio.
30 – Mercury trines Pluto again, as on the 12th. This time, however, Mercury is moving direct so that introspective/transformative power can move into new territories.
Have a great month,
